Abstract

This collection consists of photocopies of documents used by Charles Calvin Stuart (b. 1909) to compile genealogical data on his family, ancestors, and the ancestors of his wife. The source documents include birth, marriage, and death certificates, Bible records, and genealogical correspondence. There are also copies of documents concerning Union soldier Charles Palfray Bosson (1839-1918), Robert Josselyn (b. 1810), and Mary Morse of Otego, NY.

Scope and Contents The Dean Family Papers contains documents relating to the Benjamin and Alice (Lofthouse) Dean family of Clitheroe, England, Lowell, Mass., and Providence, R.I. The genealogical interests of Benjamin’s children and grandchildren are apparent throughout the collection; besides genealogical notes and charts, there is an 1867 letter by Benjamin’s brother Robert Dean of Manchester, England in which he provides genealogical information for his niece in America. Abstract

This collection contains documents, newspaper clippings, ephemera, and photographs concerning three generations of the Sanborn family of Albany, Vermont, and Sebastopol, California. The documents primarily concern the families of George Newell Sanborn (1835-1920) and Emily Jane (Dewey) Sanborn (1842-1869); and George Dewey Sanborn (1865-1920) and Mary Evangeline (Graham) Sanborn (1876-1931).
