This collection contains estate papers, correspondence, business ledgers, receipts, newspaper clippings, photographs, and various other personal documents concerning or created by the Conklin and Tindall families. Also represented in the collection is the Havens family. Many represented within the collection are associated with Shelter Island, New York.

Abstract George Willis Solley (b. 1864) was a professor at what is now Springfield College (Springfield, Mass.). His wife, Sarah Josephine Elizabeth (Dickson) Solley (1855-1940), specialized in languages, philosophy, religion, and chemistry.Collection includes correspondence by Arthur R. Abstract The Hardinge Family Collection contains documents, ephemera, paintings, photographs and objects concerning Sarah Ann Lillie (Bumstead) (Hardinge) Daniels (1824-1913) her son Harry "Hal" Williams Hardinge (1855-1943) and her grandson Harlowe Templer Hardinge (1894-1984).
