Mother of Exiles
Scope and Contents
A grayscale print that shows an angled view of the Statue of Liberty, weeping and crowned in a ring of stars. An inscription beneath the stars reads, "La Dame de Bedloe" and the title of the piece is a bottom, with the tilted o's charateristic of Indiana's previous work, Love. #2 in a series of 15, printed at Vinalhaven Press from June to September of 1985.
